Growing Veterans. Growing Food. Growing Hope.
“These were his instructions to them. The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
—Luke 10:2

Roots & Roofs: Weekly Community Building Call
Our weekly gathering where faith, family, and farming intersect to rebuild resilient communities! Each week, we’ll dig into updates from our Local Food Heroes program, share practical agricultural knowledge, explore housing solutions for those in need, and discuss how we’re cultivating community transformation. From garden education centers to mission homes, we’re creating pathways for veterans and families to thrive. Come connect with our growing network of agricultural leaders, community partners, and volunteers as we share resources, answer questions, and nurture the seeds of sustainable change together.
Part of Something Bigger
Local Food Heroes is a Tye’s House community initiative that addresses two of Tye’s House’s Four Pillars for rebuilding resilient communities one home at a time:
Garden Education Centers
Through professional agricultural training and community education, we create gathering spaces where knowledge and food production intersect.
Mission Homes
By providing housing support for program participants, we create the stability needed for transformation and discipleship.

Tye's House uses Four Pillars to rebuild communities:
Family Home, Church Community, Garden Education Centers, and Mission Home. Local Food Heroes is how we're bringing the Garden Education Centers and Mission Home pillars to life.
